The Apu Pumpkin

I asked mom to help me carve my first pumpkin (which was the last moldy pumpkin in Budapest). I asked that it look like Apu, and I wasn't disappointed!!!
Mom happily obliged because I had an awesome day a nursery!
I wasn't a huge fan of the pumpkin intestines, but I encouraged mom to get in there!
And this is Apu Pumpkin! I'd say they look strikingly similar!!
It's so spooooooky!

Lata germs!

Most people despise Monday's. Mom loves them...especially when I'm healthy and can go to nursery!! We all needed a little "fresh" air, which in Budapest, means mostly polluted (but fresher than, say, Mexico City). Anywho, mama and Pompom met up with some friends and took a nice long walk to Parliment.

Mom caught some rays while the Pominator snacked casually on her backpack. Breast milk is boring these days!
And then Pompom took her obligatory second morning nap. Life is tough!

Fifi and Foofoo.

Those are the names of my new koala   friends. I even got a new hat that matches their style. I'm the third member of the family, Frofro.

Mom, who?

Whilst mom had to answer a few emails after we went to bed, Pompom and I decided to get a bit more comfortable.
She tried to get revenge by taking a picture with a full flash, but we didn't notice.

Mom, just go sleep on the couch...or lose another 25 pounds.

I'm exhausted!!!

Don't talk to me mom! I'm tired!!
Mom actually got a little panicky when she saw her like this...since sleeping on your nose tends to block the flow of oxygen.

Seriously, Pompom is the sweetest, happiest, most friendly baby in the world. It's pretty clear I need to teach her the ropes!

Ok, well I can be pretty funny, and sweet too! I told mom yesterday, "love you mama, so so much." And then gave her a hug. She almost died of happiness (and suspicion).

Howdy from Kinshasa...

Wait, where? Yep, friends, Apu is in the Congo. Let's hope his typhoid shot has taken hold!

Apu looks like he's 12 when he shaves, which is apparently the "professional" way.
That's a LOT of buttons! Don't push the big red one!!!
Look at how 3rd world it looks!! Poor, Apu!!! He's never slept in such a run down hotel...oh wait...he took mom to Belgrade once.
A full "rain" shower too!!!? The horror!!!
He even has a view! Life on the road is tough, folks!

Thanks, dad.

So Apu has this running joke he likes to play on us when he comes back from long trips to the good ole US of A. He gets us all DEATHLY ill, and proceeds to fly away and let mom deal with the bodily fluids.

Thankfully, mom has escaped so far, but she attributes that to juicing.

It's cold!
Pompom is almost crawling. A little too early in mom's opinion.
And I'm becoming a genius architect.

Cheers to good health!

Yoga

I guess baby yoga has been paying off! Too bad the calming practice of yoga hasn't fended off my Hungarian germs. Today is day three of no nursery.

Practicing downward dog!
Relaxing child's pose...
And being greatful for life.

Baby backpack bandwagon.

At any given point during any given day, you'll see me wearing/rocking/signing/shimmy-ing (stroking) my baby...which my parents have so caringly named "dead baba."

The ladies at nursery even call her dead baba. She's about 700 years old, with greish blue toned skin, and yellow/green lips and eyes out of a horror movie. Oh yea, and her head always looks like it's falling off.

Out of my 14,374 babas, she's my favorite.

I think I actually embarrassed mom because the other day at nursery, I yelled, "where is dead baba!!!?" I'm pretty sure mom is being judged.

We miss the U.S.

Mainly mom, who dresses us in baseball hats just so she can snap a few pictures.

All day, every day...

Pompom just smiles, eats, laughs and now wants to sit...she's making me look bad!!
She also appears to be eating quite a lot from the looks of her cheeks.
We ate as a family with Drummer Pete today, and things went really well. There were a few noodles on the floor, but mom will take that, over crying, any day of the week!!

Rainy Thursday

In an interesting turn of events, I'm now obsessed with nursery.

Along with nursery, I also love the rain, mainly when I get to jump in the puddles and irritate random people with my giddiness.

And this is what happened when mom said we had to go home...
I decided to strike! I AM European after all.

A better day.

Nursery wasn't so bad today, so I think I'll cut my parents a break.

After Pompom went to yoga to meditate and release about three weeks worth of poop, I gave her a bath.

Monday, October 5, 2015

Oh yea!!!

I remember you!!! You're that guy who changes my diaper once in a while and flies airplanes and stuff...

...you're also super warm and squishy!!

The Apu has Landed.

Apu landed with Gabika (my new unicorn named after the district doctor, who I have a HUGE crush on). I see him pretty often since mom always needs antibiotics.

(Mom filters pictures so she doesn't look so old and wrinkly.)

We went to dinner!!
Mom looks tired, right? Also, side note, this is the first time she's done her hair in SIX months...over which time most of it has fallen out.
And no one screamed or threw anything on the floor! It was actually really fun! Pompom had a snack too.
I drank my sophisticated water with lemon while lounging after eating some Pho, after which I flirted with a French kid sitting at the table across from us.
Then Gabika and I went on the seesaw...
Pompom napped with her hand-me-down hat...in mom's 50th baby backpack.

And overall, it was the best day in the last 40-something days!

Now we sleep!
