Yuck...

We are alllll sick...again.

At least today I woke up in a good mood because I immediately kicked mom. That always makes me laugh.

Goodbye, Dubai!

I can't decide if the week went by really quickly or painstakingly slow. Either way, like every family vaca, it was FULL of excitement.
This is my new favorite pastime...lounging on the community lobster while floating on the lazy river.
The beach wasn't so bad either.
Does anyone else think I look pretty old here? Mom got really sad looking at his picture for some reason, saying I'm growing up too fast.
And then...

This morning I was not excited to wake up.
And this is an example of why my parents can't sleep either. I'm sort of long and stretchy. And I like to kick.
But I make up for it by being (demanding) to be helpful by dragging our carry on. Dad didn't workout this week so I figured my extra muscles would come in handy.
And now I'm taking my mandatory crew rest. And so is dad.

A day in the life...

Of Princess Popcorn...

Playing Santa on Christmas Eve.
Petting the polar bear (after I forced someone to get it for me by screaming and crying).
Making sure dad got his workout done on vacation.
Order room service on my parents dime.
Just generally enjoying the fact we're not in Hungary.

Things that have also happened on this trip:

1. Family dysfunction.
2. Multiple fevers.
3. Explosive hasmenés (for those of you who want to translate this, beware).
and...
4. General illness for everyone (except mom, so far, who has her own set of pregnancy problems).

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Day Two...

Thanks to Aunt Sandra, we went to the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world). We also went to the Dubai mall (also thanks to Aunt Sandra's love of shoes). Here are a few pictures of today, minus my epic melt down.
We went to the big ice skating rink where I showed off my skills.
We saw the big famous waterfall.
Took an awkward family photo (per our usual).
Posed with Aunt Sandra (where I debuted my first duck face).
Tried to sky dive.
And ate lunch at the most American restaurant ever...Texas Roadhouse Grill.

The family also got into about three arguments over totally ridiculous stuff, but unfortunately I didn't get any photos. Maybe tomorrow!

Things that make life awesome...

Tanning in the middle of December...in Dubai...and the pool is a warm 80 degrees.

As if I weren't spoiled enough, dad decided he's going to start applying for jobs here. I'm not ever going back to Hungary...or San Diego for that matter.

Also, they have an IHOP here. Gotta love globalization!!

Stuff!

Mom is one her way to recovery finally, after like two whole months of coughing. Here are a few things that happened in the meantime...
Yoga with dad...I'm wayyyyy more flexible.
Venturing into the cold...
Except when I'm home and I put on my bathing sit and snow hat.
I love to sit on mossy rocks.
Drink my juice and prevent dad from packing.
And skate around the apartment in mom's Uggs.

Off to Dubai tomorrow for Chirstmas! Hopefully mom will take more pictures!

My friends.

Instead of going and socializing with real kids, mom and dad make me talk to my stuffed animals. They better starting saving for a therapist.

Ready!!!

Mom and dad asked me if I wanted to go to the new indoor play house in Buda. This was my response...

We were the only ones there, which meant I got to play with everything!!!!
When do I get my driver's license?

Bacon and eggs anyone?

Mom and dad cracked and gave me my Christmas present early, after an epic meltdown. It didn't reinforce my behavior at alllllll. It was really in hopes to prevent me (read: distract me) from breaking yet another real plate/cup/dish. The thing they forget is that plastic does NOT make the same fun crashing noise as glass or porcelain.

And I was over it in about two minutes.
