Pictures!

Sometimes I get a little lazy and just want to explain my life in pictures...
Me and dad in front of grandma and grandpa's house. They are remodeling and building me a pond with fish and swing set in the back! They love me!!
Mom took me to hang out in the grass today. It's sort of bizarre because all you see is fat old dudes hanging out sunning their bellies. It's like they're at the beach, but much more awkward.
I'm on the run! Dad, try and catch me!! Oh, you ate too much at lunch?! Sorry!
Scoping out the other kid's toys!
I made another friend at the park...who proceeded to run away and kick sand in my face. Can't win 'em all, I suppose!

Flying purple people eater...

Mom caught me attempting to wear her vest. It clearly looks better on me.

After an hour playing in the sand, I managed to store about half the sandbox in my shoes, pants, hat. I figured I could make my own sandbox in the bathtub at home.

Wandering.

Usually when mom wanders anywhere it's to get food or for a specific purpose. Today, her and dad ventured to Vienna for dad's medical (so the doctor can tell him he needs to start exercising and to eat more salads).

Mom isn't super into shopping these days because she tends to prefer simple clothes and even simpler shoes. So, with two hours to kill, she walked with no direction.

A change of scenery is always nice.

For me, I spent a few hours with the grandparents who can't get enough of me these days! They are just getting ready for the month they won't be seeing me because...we're headed to San Diego!!!!!!

Dad randomly got a month off and has to go to Dallas anyway (meaning we don't have to pay for dad's airfare)! The prospect of getting this much time off again is slim, so we are taking full advantage! (Also, dad wants to take on the stingreys again, and apologize to the one he stepped on in person).

I'm ready for the beach, bean burritos, and some shrimp cocktails!!

Not much to report!

Sorry blog followers! These past few days have been pretty uneventful! The good news is, since mom's mini vacation, I sleep much better!! Dad is a pro, and grandma and grandpa aren't so bad either. Mom is a weakling, so after 10 minutes of holding me, her non-existent muscles start buring!
Dad loves pushing me on the swings! It's a lot more fun now that the sun is out and I don't have to wear 18 layers of clothing!
Sleeping at the grandparents house after a morning full of food and playing!
Not a bad picture of Budapest, huh? This place is growing on me little by little!

Goodnight all!

Happy Easter!

Today was fairly interesting. I began the morning with a trip to the sand box (which absolutely grosses mom out to no end). Thankfully I've learned not to stick the sand in my mouth, after mom flew from across the park on her broom to prevent me from eating grass/dirt the last time.
Dad playing with the sand/bird poop/candy wrappers/street gunk on shoes/snot/rain. It was so entertaining!
Guess who I got my double chin from?

Then we went to great-grandpa's birthday/Easter/signing debut party. He sang us songs in Hungarian and one in English for mom. Our family is keeping Budapest weird and we embrace it! Unfortunately, mom was so inthralled with the singing she didn't snap any pictures!

I also would like to inform everyone I can now make a "bunny" face, also known as, "the strange lady at the park that looks like a bunny" face. I'm not sure what a bunny actually is, but I hear they taste pretty good roasted with a side of mashed potatoes (my fave)!

Happy Easter, everyone!!

When mom's away...

I cry less, I eat more, and the entire family rushs to my beck and call anytime I make a peep! Mom needs to take more vacations!!

About a month ago, at the urging of her friend Kim, they booked a trip to Amsterdam for a whopping 36 hours. She woke up at 3am Friday morning and was back at midnight on Saturday. The minute she booked the trip, she absolutely freaked out, and basically spent the next month worrying I would have a melt down, especially since she didn't have the guts to stop breastfeeding me.

Anyway, dad was really fun, and the grandparents came over both days for moral support. Aunt Sandra even came all the way from Austria (but it's also Easter). She brought me toys and we played and played and played. I seriously didn't even know mom was gone...or care for that matter!

Day one. All I did was laugh and eat.
Dad took the opportunity to sleep while the grandparents took me out! I'm not sure why he was tired exactly, I slept through the night. Maybe it was the beers.
Grandma reluctantly tried putting me to sleep and it actually worked. This is a picture of the night vision camera dad installed so he could watch me sleep. He's typically this creepy.
This is the disaster mom came home to. Dad isn't really an organized guy, so he let me slide when it came to cleaning up my toys.
And mom spent her days in Amsterdam, dodging 2.3 million bicycles, taking boat rides, shopping, eating and walking in the sub-zero wind. I'm booking her a trip to Antartica for three weeks so I can invite my friends over for a big party!!! Later, mom!

10 Signs your dad is a corporate pilot.

1. He plays flight simulator games on his days off.  Annoying.

2. He reads accident reports and watches take offs and landings...on his days off...as I write this, in fact!

At night before bed...

And an accident report first thing in the morning...

He also listens to recorded audio of himself talking to air traffic control.

3. His best friend is a pilot, and they talk about nerdy pilot things when they get together. Get ready, Emma!

4. He uses his dog fighting hands to describe everything. Just a reminder, dad, you fly a Beechjet not a Messerschmitt.

5. You get to hear about these really cool places that exist outside of your cold, miserable country, but never actually get to visit them.

6. They talk about ILS approaches all the time...(but since I don't really get it, I assume it means "I like snacks," and I usually approach snacks with extreme enthusiasm.)

7. He owns 10 altimeter watches that could collectively fly his airplane. (Come to think of it, this should actually be on the list of "10 Signs your dad should be featured on 'Hoarding: Buried Alive.'")

8. You learn that drag can bring down a large aircraft if not accounted for, much like drag in shitty diaper.

9. "I'll be right back," could mean two minutes or a three weeks.

10. There are hundreds of airline tickets laying around your house.

 To which I reply...
You ain't goin nowhere, sucka! I personally destroyed this ticket in about 45 seconds, laughing the entire time.
