Zoo day 62,927!

Yes...our yearly passes have paid for themselves about a thousand times over. 

I played on the slide while Pompom ate her weight in applesauce. 

Mom failed at taking artist pictures of our shoes...but she loves her new earth kicks SO much that she doesn't care if the picture isn't that great. 

She forced me to play in the bamboo when I really just wanted to pet the goats...

But the best part, hands down, was that we both fell asleep for TWO hours and mom got to eat at Tender Greens (her fave place), in P.E.A.C.E. 

Orange picking.

Well, not entirely. I basically screamed the entire morning because my shoes were muddy. I'm not the outdoor type...I would much rather someone else picks the oranges and makes me a mimosa.

Bath time.

Mom thought this post would be appropriate following the last one...

Holy cow, did we have fun. And then we invited our babas to join...

Pompom was SO happy. 

Stickers

Mom wasn't sure if she should blog this, but after reflecting on the brighter side of motherhood, it would be a shame if she didn't. 

When we were ALL sick with our deadly Hungarian stomach virus, courtesy of nursery, she decided to take a calculated risk. She left us alone in the living room for 10 minutes to take a shower.

After those 10 minutes she came out to find us happily playing with 6,639,627 stickers that we applied to every surface we could find. Thank you grandma, for the sticker book. 

It was a small price to pay...

Until the next day...

When Pompom pooped out 89,737 stickers that were ironically bananas, apples and other mixed fruit. Let's hope the adhesive doesn't cause cancer! 

Quack!

I don't think there was one green leaf at Lake Murray, but come to think of it, mom has NEVER seen it green. In fact, it's pretty gross...but that didn't stop us from feeding the ducks!! Everyone loves carbs!! It was a fun day! 

Fish out of water.

Now that we're back on mom's turf, we've been hanging with her American mom friends. She feels like the odd one. They talk about schools, American baby clothes and buying houses...all of which mom can't relate to AT all. She has discovered recently that she will forever be torn between two places...and that's pretty ok with her. 

Cheers to our third zoo trip, and new mom friends. 

Busy bees...

I said "yes" to the dress!! And the three following dresses...and shoes...and a tiara. Basically, I'm the complete opposite of my mom when it comes to fashion. Thank GOD! 

Pompom rang the approval bell.

We hung with grandma and Riley at the zoo...

After mom ran around town looking for her dream double stroller...which is everything she had hoped for, and more! It's even sturdy enough for Riley, myself AND our chemically laden ice cream sandwiches.

We tamed a wild metal bird of some sort...

A cheetah...for the second time...

And I did it all in my Peppa Pig fan girl shirt! 

And today mom bought me a bike for the inside of the house...which may get us kicked out of grandpa's house! 

Also, mom cooked and I ate so many meat balls, asparagus and brussles sprouts that I actually complained that I was full. It was a decent day, indeed! 

Are they fighting?

No...but that's a conversation we will have another day. 

We went on our annual zoo trip with Riley and had a LOT OF FUN!

Mom actually got a break! Riley is the perfect babysitter. And free. 

We looked at snakes and lizards...

Tamed a saber tooth tiger...

Played with the giraffes...

And grew up a little right in front of mom's eyes. She's a little sad about it. 

4:12am

And mama had to pee...

Apparently we don't mind having the bed all to ourselves!!!

Hello, California!

All you can eat casino buffet...

Ice cream and bad family photos until we get sick...

Which we did, because I fed a strawberry to Pompom before her body was ready...

Which led to this...

And in dad's glorious wonder, he asked if I wanted to sun bathe in East County...on the lawn...

I did some astronaut training while downtown...

Was gifted a pretty princess dress, which I now sleep in....

So far, so good!
